Elisha Minter, storyteller, actress and musician, will share the stories from the past using technology and visuals. Enjoy a pictorial history and oral storytelling of African American women in the war regarding inequality, women’s rights, and the Women’s Suffrage Movement. Relive the historical movements of African American women as we view and highlight several key participants from the Civil War to the present in the struggle for equal rights for women and black women.

These stories will pay homage to our sisters that were struggling and remind us that the struggle for freedom is not over, but ongoing. Great women such as Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Ida B. Wells, Black Nurses Core, and others will be highlighted in this presentation. Questions and answers to follow.
