Enjoy music by award winning Harbour Towne Fest Band, a full size Oktoberfest ensemble for dancing and Traditional style German fare (bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad) and iced tea served from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Additional beverages, beer, wine, pretzels and desserts are available for purchase.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to compete for bragging rights in the traditional Oktoberfest “Masskrugstemmen”, a contest of strength and determination. Last year’s competition provided great entertainment for participants & spectators! So grab the family, put on your Lederhosen & dirndl and come on down. Music until 10 pm.
Oktoberfest proceeds support the purchase of over 300 pairs of shoes for local elementary school students in need each year through our “Kicks for Kids” program. Also benefitting scholarships for high school students entering college, local charity programs and local high-school Interact Clubs.
Admission: $20 in advance $25 at the door. Kids 6-12 $5, 5 & under free. Tickets may be purchased starting August 1st at Mitchell Hardware (215 Craven Street), Athlete’s Foot (3029 Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd.) or online at www.newbernrotary.org.
