During Revolutionary War Day guests will have many hands-on opportunities to experience the culture and lifeways of wartime in New Bern. Explore the life of the Revolutionary War soldier at and encampment, play soldiers’ games, learn about civilian medicine, and hear fascinating stories about the roles native New Bernians played during the American Revolution.
Tryon Palace’s own First North Carolina Regiment of the Continental Line will demonstrate black powder firing at 10:30am and 2:30pm on the South Lawn. Children can sign up to join the Continental Line and participate in “musket” drills on the front lawn throughout the day.
Adult Ticket $6, Youth Ticket $3 grades 1-12 (requires Garden Pass). Included in regular Tryon Palace ticket admission.
