Arguably one of the most famous composer duos, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II revolutionized the way musicals were written and performed. Starting in 1943 with “Oklahoma” and ending with “The Sound of Music” in 1959, their work garnered thirty-four Tony Awards, fifteen Academy Awards, the Pulitzer Prize, and two Grammy Awards. Several of their most pieces were made into movies, such as “The Sound of Music” and “Cinderella,” or are still on performance in venues across the United States. Hits include “My Favorite Things,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” “Shall We Dance,” and many others from their hit musicals.

Von Lewis’ heart lies in classic jazz music. He grew up listening to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and the rest of the rat pack. His classic look and vocal stylings are perfect for his rat pack covers.

Abbey Clarke’s true passion lies in vintage country music. She grew up listening to the country music of the 1990s, such as Martina McBride, Holly Dunn, and more. As she grew older, she came to appreciate the work of Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and all the great women who paved the way for women in country music today.

Admission: $15 for Craven Arts Council Members, $20 for Nonmembers
