Come join the Tryon Palace coven at the North Carolina History Center for fun and free activities, treats, maybe some tricks, and to watch one of our favorite Halloween movies, Hocus Pocus! The amusements will begin at 5:30 PM in Mattocks Hall and the movie will start at 7. We encourage you to dress in your best disguise and enter our costume contest! Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded just before the movie begins.
After moving to Salem, Massachusetts, Max Dennison explores a creepy, abandoned house with his sister Dani and their new friend, Allison. After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches, the infamous Sanderson sisters, who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.
